gasp!

Brian got back yesterday from a conference in CA. Hours before he was supposed to arrive, Avery yells at me from outside saying "I see daddy!! I see daddy!!" She's pointing up at an airplane in the sky. hehe.

Once I caught her saying a prayer all by herself and she went through every part.

I was carrying a glass of water down stairs and Avery says "careful mom. Use two hands!"

I used to always say things excitedly for Avery to react excited. Now-a-days I sometimes purposely don't do that and see what happens. I simply say: "Avery, we're going to have ice cream now." She pauses, gasps (my favorite part), then exclaims "ooh! Ice cream!!!" I swear ice cream was invented just so we could indulge in our kids' excitement!

I made steamed carrots and I suppose it's one of Avery's favorites because she did that gasp thing and says "carrots!!" I'm so so so thankful she will eat things that are good for her.
