I'm so in love with these two pictures. Happy 4 months, cutie girl! She's a whopping 15 lbs. 11 oz. which puts her in the 90% for height and weight. I really like this outfit, but unfortunately the bottoms have some elastic around the legs that are too tight for comfort for her fatty legs. hehe, we like our fatty girl. So this outfit doesn't stay on very long, but at least I get pictures! I also like her friendly giraffe (if that's what it is) and should give him a name or I'll wait 'til she names him. She'll be taking pictures with this guy every year of her life, so they should become good friends I hope.
Thumb sucking: Avery has become a thumb sucking pro and her dad is not a fan (her mom neither). We're always doing thumb patrol and soon enough we may dip it in lemon juice to see how she likes it then, eh? We try to give her a teething ring as an alternative, but it's not nearly as good in her mouth. We think she may be teething, but only on and off and it's not all that bad I don't think.
Reading: I gave up going to story time at the library for now. She's a little too young to appreciate me wiggling her around to the songs and I'll put it off as long as possible because it feel like my IQ takes a nose dive in that atmosphere. Meanwhile I enjoy reading to her at home on the summer reading program.
Eczema: It's a constant battle (flaring up every other day), but the doc says to keep up the hydrocortisone 2x daily and moisturize constantly. Good thing she's a trooper and it's all she really knows. I just have to keep it under control; hopefully someday she'll grow out of it.
Cereal: I'm going to start her on rice cereal now that she's old enough and see how she likes it. I'm kind of excited and I'll let ya know how it goes.
Sleeping: What sleeping? just kidding. She naps okay during the day. It's kind of random and only for 45 minutes at a time (if that), but whatever. I'm trying to put her down often whenever she looks tired. She sleeps much more in the morning/afternoon than in the evening. She will go for 8 hours in the evening with only 2 15-minute cat naps. Silly Avery. Her bed time is at 10:30/11:00 though we will be trying harder to make that earlier if at all possible. She still gets up every 2-4 hours throughout the night. Doc says to get her accustomed to falling asleep on her own and that should help.
Demeanor: Wow, such a technical word. Despite some of her troubles, Avery really is a good girl. She's not too fussy; just a little wiggly at times (for a 4-monther). She can be happy with little entertainment and likes to look around. She travels well. She smiles often and is quite a flirt. Dad can even get her to giggle.

4 months already! Such a cutie. I love her chubby legs. She's just 5 lbs less than Savannah and she's almost 2. Hope to see you guys soon. :)
